REISIG, Mary Valone (Sharp) – of Jenison, MI, formerly of Davison, MI, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Bob Geisler officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 12 -1 PM Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, in Mary’s memory.
Mary was born in Flint, MI on August 9, 1926, daughter of the late Edwin and Velma (Echlin) Sharp. She married Harold H. Reisig on February 1, 1946 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Flint, MI and he preceded her in death on January 16, 2018. Mary was employed with Northern Advertising in Davison and General Telephone. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Mary enjoyed painting, crocheting and being with family.
Mary is survived by 3 children, Linda (Robert) Busfield, Janet (Michael) Anderson and David (Dawn Dunn) Reisig; 4 grandchildren, Christa (Todd) Arnett, Sara (Tad) Dowd, Rebecca (Brian) Elenbaas and Andrew (Marsha) Anderson; 13 great-grandchildren, Madelyn Arnett, Megan Arnett, Hunter Dowd, Molly Dowd, Emily Sibbersen, Michael Sibberson, Devin Elenbaas, Gage Elenbaas, Lance Elenbaas, Tyler Anderson, Nicholas Anderson, Zackory Anderson and Jacob Anderson; siblings, Barbara E. Stokes and Charles A. Sharp; special niece, Kathy Miller; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Velma Sharp; husband, Harold H. Reisig and brother, Donald L. Sharp and sister, Shirley J. Connolly.
