Paul grew up in Flint where he graduated from Flint Central in 1956. He attended GMI and Michigan State. Paul worked in planning and special services for the Genesee County Road Commission retiring after 38 years of service. He loved his wife and children and was very active in his children's activities, including working with the VFW’s girls pee-wee softball as director for 10 years, Central Elementary PTO, his son's Cub Scout troop, president of the Flushing Band Boosters, director of the Michigan Invitational at Atwood Stadium and chauffeur to all of his children's activities. Paul took great pride in his yard, flowers and garden. He had a love of restoring vintage cars and trucks with his son and showing them at car shows.
On June 12, 1965, he married Ann Marie (Troy) and together they had 3 children; Cindy of Lake Orion, MI, Michael (Lisa Walker) of Marion, IN, and Cheri (Ken Brown) of Dryden, MI and 6 grandchildren, Hailey, Stone, Lindsey, Jackson, Sarah and Lauren, and his beloved cat, Bella. He is preceded in death by his son Michael and his parents and grandmother. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Flushing Christian Outreach Center or the Genesee County Humane Society. Due to Covid restrictions the family will hold a service at a later date. Our family would like to thank Cathy Riley and Residential Home Health Care and Hospice Care for all they did for Paul. |
