CAINE, Robert B., Jr. – of Clio, age 69, died Saturday, March 2, 2024, at McLaren Flint Hospital. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1PM Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM. A graveside Inurnment will follow in West Vienna Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, in memory of Robert’s late wife, Katherine.
Robert was born March 27, 1954, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Robert and Virginia (Hawk) Caine, Sr. He graduated from Beecher High School with the class of 1973. Bob married Katherine M. Doughty on August 26, 1994. They enjoyed many wonderful years together before she preceded him in death on February 9, 2023. He Worked at General Motors – Fisher Body and Delphi for many years before retiring. Bob was an avid sports enthusiast, especially when it came to U of M Football. He enjoyed his time on the golf course and getaways to Florida in the winter with Katherine. Above all, Bob loved spending time with his daughters, family, friends, and his dog, Mags. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the ICU staff at McLaren, for all their compassion and care.
Surviving are: Daughters: Amy (Chris) Christenson, Jennifer (Joe) Scholl, and Kerri Wahl (Fiancé, Brian Daugherty); Grandson, Alexander; Sister, Karen (Kenny) Koumjian; Brother, Mark (Pam) Maki; Nephew, Brent Maki.
