Cynthia Irene Sazehn, age 69, of Flushing, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. A funeral service will take place 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek with burial following at Bendle Cemetery, Flushing. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society or Pet Angel Adoption and Rescue.
Cynthia was born on January 9, 1955 in Phoenix, Arizona to Roy and Elizabeth (Sherston) Davis. She graduated from Half Moon Bay High School, class of 1973. After high school, she continued her education at Baker College where she obtained her bachelors degree. Cynthia and Tony were united in marriage on October 8, 1988 in Reno, Nevada. Sadly he preceded her in death in 2006. She retired in 2011 after 31 years with the State of Michigan as the IT Manager. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Cynthia loved traveling, quilting and her cats.
She is survived by her sisters, Judith Newell and Dixie (Rick) Hall; mother, Elizabeth Davis; nephew, Darien Newell; her significant other, Jim Matson and his family; and her girls, Tinker, Trixie and Buffy.
