BOYLES, LELA MAY – Of Davison, age 97, died Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Suncrest-Lapeer County Nursing Facility.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Brad Walker officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to Suncrest-Lapeer.
Visitation 10:30 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Lela was born in Doniphan, Missouri on January 16, 1926, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Lula (Williams) Jones.
On April 18, 1942 she married Marion Boyles in Doniphan, Missouri.
She was a member of West Court Street Church of God.
She was very involved in craft making. She enjoyed spending time at the Davison Senior Center. She also enjoyed playing card games, especially Rook.
She used to bake wedding cakes for people in her younger days.
Surviving are son, James Boyles;
daughter, Pamela Wyatt;
grandchild, Melissa Boyles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion; son, Robert Boyles;
grandson, Matthew Dingler and all of her siblings.
