OWENS, Ronald D. – of Clio, age 57, died on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Hurley Medical Center in Flint. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Friday, December 17, 2021, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 1PM until 8PM, and on Friday from 12PM until the time of service at 1PM.
Ron was born February 6, 1964, in Princeton, West Virginia, to James and Bonnie (Williams) Owens. He attended Clio and Millington schools. Ron married Bridget Barbor on November 13, 1999, in Princeton, West Virginia. He was the housekeeping supervisor at Ascension Genesys for 10 years before retiring. Ron attended Bray Road Baptist Church and was a member of the Montrose Eagles – Blueberry Aerie #4090. He enjoyed working on cars, adventures and traveling with his wife, golfing, and keeping a meticulous lawn. Ron was a true patriot and loved his country. He was a wonderful, kind loving family man and above all, loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are: Wife, Bridget Owens; Children: Aaron (Elizabeth) Owens, Moses Owens, Marlena Owens, Jeshaiah Owens (Kristen Davis), and Madeline Owens (Phillip Cook); Grandchildren: Jason Kolukciva, Jeremy Shrewsbury, Joshua Shrewsbury, Jalynn Shrewsbury, and Cash Owens; Father: James Owens; Mother, Bonnie Williams; Brother, Lester Owens (Amy Fyock), Sister, Drema (Vincent) Smith; Step sister, Cheryl Lester-Lanford; Many cousins, uncles, nieces, nephews, other loving family members and dear friends.
