AHEARN, Francis (Frankie) Ervin - age 87 of Burton, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, October 19, 2024. Frankie was born in Flint, MI on January 17, 1937, to the late Francis Michael and Regina Genevieve (Watchowski) Ahearn. Frankie graduated from St. Michael's Catholic School in 1955. Frankie served our country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea during the Korean War. Frankie was employed as a tool and die maker with General Motors at Fisher Body (Flint) and then Grand Blanc Automotive Body Metal Fabricating Facility for more than 40 years. Frankie was an avid fan of motorcycles, especially Harley Davidson. Frankie enjoyed spending time at motorcycle events, swap meets, and races, He went to Bike Week every year in Daytona until 2019. Frankie enjoyed traveling and has visited many countries and many states. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, going to movies, watching old shows on TV, socializing at the local establishments, and enjoying the company of his kitties. Frankie is survived by his loving sister, Marie Ketchmark of Fenton; niece Debra Koch and Bradley Koch (nephew) of Holly; niece Lynn Ketchmark of Fenton, niece, Denise Ketchmark of Fenton; great niece, Kaitlynne (Tom) Watt of Holly; great nephew Mitchell Koch of Holly; great niece Rakia Ketchamrk of Fenton; great nephew, Damion Ketchmark of Fenton; great great nephew, Hunter Watt of Holly and many good friends. The Ahearn family would like to thank his in-home caretaker Melissa Sturgill as well as the entire staff at Courtyard Manor Assisted Living and Residential Hospice for all their care, help and assistance during this difficult journey. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM Saturday, October 26,at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton, MI 48430 with Fr. David Harvey celebrant. The visitation will take place on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 4-7 PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel,1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430. A rosary will be prayed at 7 PM Friday night at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County, G-3325 S.
