ADKISSON, Alyce Faye – Of Burton, age 65, died peacefully Saturday, May 7, 2022 with her family present at her home.
Memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Gary Stemen officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Visitation 2 p.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Alyce was born in Flint, Michigan on August 14, 1956, the daughter of Theron and Agnes (Ford) Stuart.
On October 28, 1972 she married James L. Adkisson in Flint.
Alyce loved her family and grandchildren, dogs and cats! Gardening and Bingo was how she spent her free time.
Alyce was employed at General Motors from October, 1976 until April, 2001.
Surviving are husband, James L. Adkisson;
daughter, Tracy Adkisson (Dave Brown);
son, Mathew (Rebecca) Adkisson;
grandchildren, Anthony Adkisson (Mya Vargas), Taylor Adkisson (Lance Pellow), Trevor (Ashley) Bedard, Trenton Bedard and Myles (her pumpkin) Adkisson;
sister, Noel (Bill) Stemen;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theron and Agnes Stuart; sister, Judy (Stuart) Whittaker and brother, Theron “Butch” Stuart.
