GRAHAM, DONNA ARLENE – Of Davison Township, age 91, died Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at First Presbyterian Church, 746 South Saginaw Street in Flint, Reverend Paul Ytterock officiating.
Private burial in Davison Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.
Visitation 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Donna will be at the church 4 p.m. Tuesday until the time of the service.
Donna was born in Flint, Michigan on March 6, 1932, the daughter of the late Walter Joseph and Thelma Rae (Ritcher) Mooney.
On February 3, 1973 she married Gordon Graham at Davison Baptist Church and he preceded her in death in 2004.
She graduated from MSU in Editorial Journalism and was employed by the Flint Journal as a journalist, and later as an Editor in the Women, Children and Teen page. Donna later was employed as a Public Relations Director and Coordinator of Volunteers at the Flint Chapter of the American Red Cross and the former Flint Regional Blood Center.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Flint, member of International P.E.O. Sisterhood BX Chapter; Friends of Flint Public Library, Advisory Board of the Sloan Museum and also Women’s National Needlework Guild.
She was in The Current Book Club and the Women’s National Farm and Garden Association. She loved to garden, cook and was a needle worker practicing weaving, needle pointing, knitting and historical clothing.
Donna is survived by her son, Joseph A. (Irina Roshchina) Fialka;
sister, Sharon Kingsbury;
many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Graham in 2004; sisters, Yvonne Wismer and Shirley MacGillivray.
