LINDEMAN, Dennis Allan – of Clio, MI, age 78, died Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Ascension Genesys Hospital of Grand Blanc, MI. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, March 4, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Michigan. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 4, 2024, at the funeral home, with Rev. Fr. Ken Coughlin officiating. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke’s New Life Center or a charity of one’s choice.
Dennis was born in Oberlin, Ohio on September 8, 1945, the son of Clyde and Margaret Lorraine (Hutchinson) Lindeman. He spent his childhood in the Oberlin area and graduated from Firelands High School in 1963. He attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Dennis married Kathleen Flanigan on May 24, 1969 in Oberlin. Upon relocation to Michigan, he was an educator in industrial arts and physical sciences in the Genesee School District for 35 years. After his retirement, he worked at Delphi in Flint as a vehicle coordinator until the plant closure in 2009. Dennis was a member of SS Charles and Helena Catholic Church where he played guitar with the choir. He was active with the Flint Male Chorus, Clio Cast and Crew, and the Flint Folk Music Society. He was also the longtime coordinator of the 3rd Stage at BlissFest Music Festival. Above all, Denny was a storyteller. He had a passion for music, tinkering, problem solving, and traveling with his wife. He was also an avid collector of many things, especially musical instruments and sound equipment, but his greatest happiness came from spending time with his family and friends.
Dennis is survived his wife of 54 years, Kathleen Lindeman; daughters, Merideth Lindeman and Kristina (Joe) McCarron; granddaughters, Morgan McCarron and Meghan McCarron; sisters, Gail Noernberg and Alice (Mark Beck) Lindeman; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
