Elizabeth was born in Adrian, Pennsylvania on March 18, 1931, the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Koromaus) Lazorcak. She was a loving wife to her husband, William for 67 years. They were married on October 29, 1955 yet they actually met when they were in kindergarten! She was a faithful member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church and her devotion to her church was an example to all.
Elizabeth had a gift for making each person she met feel welcome and important. It did not matter if you were a family member or neighbor or fellow casino slot machine gambler or the check-out person at Meijer- you were worthy of her full attention. “How is your family, how are you feeling, what’s in your garden, are you hungry? All were important to her.
Elizabeth cherished her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She insisted on having a photo of each on her refrigerator.
You could sit at her kitchen table and feel life - in all its crazy, unusual, funny, sometimes sad detail, but never with judgement. We are pretty sure that Heaven’s kitchen table is exactly like hers. If you wonder where she got her grace, look up. Few of us get that much grace as humans…maybe Jesus and the Pope. She was devout in her faith - a true disciple of Jesus. She was like him in many ways, especially her acceptance of people with different backgrounds and views from her own.
She is survived by her husband, William; children, Mary and husband Dave Boling of Flushing, Bill and wife Ellen Dubensky of Traverse City, Martha and husband Denny Rau of Flushing; grandchildren, Dr. Melissa Boling and husband Dr. Phil Huang, David Boling, Andrew and wife Genevieve Boling, Ann and husband Andy Ramirez, John Dubensky, Elizabeth Rau, Justin Rau, Jacob Rau; great-grandchildren, Philip, Luke, Miles, Angela, Audrey; and sister-in-law, Lola Lazorchak. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her, parents; daughter, Susan Loiselle; brother, Joe Lazorchak; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and George Hritz.
