It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Russell James Johnson, age 56, of Burton, Michigan passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025.. Russ was known for his love of fishing and boating, often found on the water, enjoying the beauty of nature and the thrill of adventure. His passion for staying active was matched only by his dedication to his friends and family.
Russ shared a special bond with his lifelong friend, Uncle Ricky, with whom he created countless cherished memories. Together, they navigated the waters of life, sharing laughter, stories, and the joy of friendship.
He leaves to cherish his memory his son; Ryan Johnson ( Michelle Schmitt), his mother; Terry Thomas, siblings; Irene (Joe) Coolick, Tim ( Debbie) Johnson, uncles; Ricky Bray and Ronnie Bray and aunt Sheila. Russell was preceded in death by his father; Allen Johnson.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no formal service. Instead, a celebration of life will be held in his honor at a later date, where friends and family can gather to share stories, reminisce, and celebrate the life he lived. |
