BORTLE, Ricky Lee – of Clio, age 72, died Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Suncrest Medical Care Facility. A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at West Vienna Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Suncrest Auxiliary.
Ricky was born January 14, 1949 in Flint, Michigan to the late Donald and Dolores (Shonts) Bortle. He grew up in Clio and attended GISD School District. Ricky worked at the GISD as a general laborer. He loved music, especially the Beatles. Ricky enjoyed playing his guitar, singing, sailing, and going to the family cabin at Canada Creek Ranch. He also liked to take his daily trips on his bike to visit all the downtown Clio businesses. Family was very important to him and he liked attending birthday parties and family get-togethers. He will be missed by all.
Surviving are: Siblings, David (Diane) Bortle, Brenda (Jim) Andrews, Lynette (Ron) Magnus; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
