DELONGCHAMP, Bernard D. – of Burton, MI, age 89, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2PM on Friday, January 10, 2020 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5199 Richfield Road, Flint, MI 48506; Rev. Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Cremation will take place following the Mass. The family will receive visitors from 11AM- 8PM on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 1-2PM on January 10, 2020 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Bernard’s memory.
Bernard was born in Flint, MI on March 25, 1930, son of the late Howard and Florence (Venne) Delongchamp. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He loved watching U of M basketball and football. He also enjoyed golfing and swing dancing for many years of his life.
Bernard is survived by 3 children, Susan (Tom) Walter, Diana (Ron) Karrer, David (Lori) Delongchamp; grandchildren, Joel, Danielle, Natalie, Kylie, Cameron; great-grandchildren, Crew, Hadleigh, Cohen, Emmy; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Patsy C. (Smith) Delongchamp.
