Katherine Lauletta, of Flushing, Michigan and Fort Myers, Florida, passed away surrounded by family on April 15, 2023. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2023, at Rossell Funeral Home. Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell will officiate. Burial to follow at 2:30 p.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery, where she will join her husband. Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Katherine was born in Evart Township, Michigan on February 18, 1934, to Dan and Theresa (Elder) McLachlan. She graduated from Evart High School in 1952. Katherine married Lawrence A. Lauletta on November 8, 1958, and he preceded her in death on June 11, 2010. She worked for AC Spark Plug in Flint, and after her retirement in 1985 she and Lawrence enjoyed spending winters in Fort Myers. She loved travelling and visited every state in the U.S. (with the exception of Alaska) as well as parts of Canada. Katherine liked to go fishing and camping. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, needlework, and reading. Katherine also loved putting puzzles together with her daughter. She loved her fur babies, Maxi, Eva, and Grizz. What she loved most though was spending time with her great grandsons, Jasper and Raymond, who knew her as “Grape Grandma”.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Holland of Flushing; stepson, Larry Dale (Marlow) Lauletta of Houghton Lake; grandchildren, Chad (Val) Dreuth of Flushing, Adam (Lucille) Dreuth of South Milwaukee, Danielle (Jason) Lockhart of Davison, Rusty Lauletta of Flint, and Tina (Phil) Petty of Davison; several great-grandchildren; brother, Loren (Dorothy) McLachlan of Swartz Creek; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Lauletta; four sisters, Donna McKinstry, Evelyn Antrup, Marjorie Pratt, and Velma Wirth; five brothers, Herman McLachlan, Dale McLachlan, John McLachlan. Wayne McLachlan, and Gerald McLachlan; and both her parents. |
