QUADERER, Bernard N. – of Montrose, age 86, died on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11AM Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Ss. Francis and Clare Catholic Parish in Birch Run, 12157 Church St. in Birch Run. Rev. Fr. Thomas McNamara officiating. Burial in Cook Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run on Monday from 1PM until 8PM and at the church on Tuesday from 10AM until the time of Mass at 11AM. A prayer service will be held at 7PM Monday evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Ss. Francis and Clare Catholic Parish.
Bernard was born December 23, 1934 in Maple Grove Twp., Michigan to the late Aloysius and Agnes (Indlekofer) Quaderer. He graduated from Maple Grove High School in 1953. Mr. Quaderer was a very proud U.S. Army paratrooper and was honorably discharged in 1957. Bernard married Patricia Eycleshymer on May 9, 1959 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Maple Grove. He retired from Saginaw Steering Gear – skilled trades in 1994 with 42 years of service. Bernard was a hobby farmer for many years and loved his garden and animals. He was a member of Ss. Francis and Clare Catholic Parish. Bernard enjoyed woodworking, trips to the casino, reading westerns, and deer hunting. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are: Wife, Patricia Quaderer; Children: Michael (Ann Marie) Quaderer, Deborah (Kevin) Tewksbury, Mark (Margaret) Quaderer, Vicki (Eddy) Niedecken, Tracy (Shane) Stewart, Pamela (Michael) Nowak; 21 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; Siblings: Dorothy Flattery, Kathleen (Jerry) Kleinfeld; Kenneth (Beverly) Quaderer, Agnes Marie (Timothy) Keinath, Sharon Quaderer, and Patricia Quaderer; Brother in law and friend, John (Fran) Eycleshymer; Many other loving family members and dear friends. Bernard was also preceded in death by: Grandchildren: Torie Elizabeth Quaderer, and Kyle Quaderer; Siblings: Mary Ann Darland, Maurice (Ann) Quaderer, Fred Quaderer, Donald Quaderer, Carol Jean Quaderer, Kenneth Darland,Kenneth Michael, and Kenneth Flattery.
