SOPER, Matthew Paul – of Davison, MI, age 55, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Cremation has taken place and a private Memorial Service is being planned for a later date. Matthew Paul Soper came into the world on May 14, 1968 in Flint, born the son of the late Kurt and Marjorie (Milkovich) Soper. He was a proud graduate of Davison High School. Matt was known for his friendly nature, a perfect fit for the long-time job he held as a greeter at VG’s. Matt's passion for the outdoors defined him. An enthusiastic hunter and fisherman, he found solace in nature. In addition to his outdoor pursuits, Matt possessed a creative side, showcasing his talent as an adept artist with a fondness for drawing.
Matthew is survived by his aunt, Rosemary Kornacki; uncle, Jon Milkovich; aunt, Diane Soper and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kurt and Marjorie Soper; brother, Michael Soper; grandparents, Paul and Marion Milkovich and Keith and Dorothy Soper; and uncles, Jim Soper, and Gary Soper.
