WARD, LONNIE C. – Of Burton, age 65, died Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at McLaren-Flint.
Memorial service will be held at a later date at Restoration Bethel Ministries, Pastor David Rogers will officiate.
Cremation has taken place.
Lonnie was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on November 26, 1957, the son of Elias and Bernice M. (Davis) Ward.
On June 15, 1982 he married Janice Wollard in Flint.
Lonnie was a loving husband, a father to three amazing son's, a PaPa to three grandson's and one granddaughter. He loved his family more than anything. Lonnie got his first guitar at the age of eight years old, and he never stopped. Playing music was his passion, he also enjoyed circle track racing as he built his own racecar years ago and raced it at Auto City Speedway. He loved doing yard work and planting his garden. He loved the Holidays especially Halloween, he was a kid at heart. He will be missed by many especially his family and his fur babies DJ, and Sadie. It's not goodbye, It's I'll see you again. Fly High (Big Daddy).
Surviving are his wife, Janice;
sons, Michael (Amanda), Lonnie and Adam;
4 grandchildren, Hunter, Jacob, Summer and Brayden;
siblings, Jim and Damon;
many nieces and nephews;
fur babies, D.J. and Sadie.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary, Fred, Libby, Kevin, Carl, John and Clarence.
