TURNER, David A., Jr. – Of Burton, age 65, died Thursday, December 16, 2021 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Ray Strawser officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Visitation 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2021 and 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2021 until the time of the service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors Project or the Sierra Club.
David was born on May 30, 1956 in Flint, Michigan, the son of David Sr. and Sue Turner.
On August 29, 2000 he married Janene Ruess in Burton.
He was a graduate of Carman High School Class of 1974.
Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Detroit Lions; his dog, Kramer and spending time with his family.
Dave attended the Genesee Area Skill Center and was employed as a Metal Fabricator at Bristol Steel and Corsair Engineering.
Surviving are his wife, Janene Ruess;
son, Sam Turner;
father, David A. (Barbara) Turner, Sr.;
mother, Sue (Jack) Kindt;
2 brothers, Mike Kindt and Donald (Lori) Turner;
mother-in-law, Iris Ruess;
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jeri Lynn (Terry) Kellogg,
Gene (Jill) Ruess, Kristeen (Michael) Sykes, Richard (Miracle) Elliott, Jenifer Browning, Brett (Lisa) Ruess, Tracey (Bob) Fitzgerald and Harold “Chic” (Holly) Amy;
numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Janet L. Lindsay; father-in-law, Eugene Ruess and brother-in-law, Boyce Browning.
