H.M. “Moe” Moody – of Clio, age 82, died peacefully on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at The Riverglens Assisted Living of Montrose. Honoring his wishes, cremation will be taking place. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, July 10, 2021, from 9:30AM until the time of service at 11AM at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run. Rev. Fr. Thomas McNamara officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps, and the Birch Run VFW Post #7542. Following the services at the funeral home, everyone is invited to the Clio Eagles where a service will be held by Pastor Mike McCluskey with the draping of the charter. Memorial contributions may be made to the Class of 64’ and Alumni Scholarship Foundation.
Moe was born January 30, 1939, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the son of the late Tommy and Nina Moody. He was a proud Marine and served his country honorably for 4 years. Moe retired from Chevrolet with 30 years of service. He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, the American Legion, lifetime member of the Birch Run VFW Post #7542, and Clio Eagles #3609.
Left to cherish his memory are: Wife, Diane; Children: Tim, Tom, Morrine, and Kelly; 8 grandchildren; Many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Moe was also preceded in death by: Brothers: Melvin and Thomas Moody.
