PORRITT (BURNETT), Katie
Katie was born on January 2, 1973 in Flint, Michigan. She lost her battle with cancer on January 20, 2022 at the age of 49 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, January 28, 2022 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Father Joseph J. Krupp officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation 1 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Katie will be at the church from 9 a.m. Friday until the time of the Mass.
She previously worked at Arthur Andersen, Deloitte, and currently worked at Moore Doeren Mayhew.
Katie enjoyed spending time with her family, going up north, and raising her three girls.
Katie is survived by Husband, Gary Porritt;
Three Daughters, Madilyn, Ally, and Abby;
Parents, Yvonne and Darwon Burnett;
Mother-In-Law, Paula Porritt;
Siblings, Kelli (Rod) Kippe and Kirk (Jennifer) Burnett, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her Grandparents, Allene and Frederick Green; Katie and Elmer Burnett along with her Father-In-Law, Gary Lee Porritt.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Katie’s children’s college fund. Donations may be made directly to the family or in a memorial envelope and placed in the donation box the day of services.
