WRIGHT, Danny K. - Age 68, of Flint, passed away, Sunday, April 10, 2022. Funeral Service 1PM Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. Visitation 4PM-7PM Friday, April 15, 2022. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
Danny was born September 10, 1953 in Springfield, MO, the son of Kenneth Gordon and Loretta Lavern (Ehrhardt) Wright. He married his childhood sweetheart, Ruth Ann Johnston in Flint on February 15, 1985. She preceded him in death on May 14, 2021. Danny graduated from Carman High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Danny was employed as a Pipe Fitter and Machine Builder with Atlas Technology. He was an avid Harley Rider and a member of ABATE Region 20. Danny enjoyed bird calling and watching, and gardening. He was a talented keyboard and harmonica player. Danny was a big college basketball fan. He loved watching the games on TV.
Danny is survived by his son, Jeffrey; brother, David (Brenda) Wright; nephew, Josh (Erica) Wright, and children, Kenny, and Katy; niece, Julie Freiheit, and children, Hannah Freiheit, and Mason Wright; niece, Sara (Joe) Kirkwood, and children, Jacob, Jonathon, and Sammy; nephew, Russell Dean from Gwinn, MI; and his beloved dog, "Rye Whiskey".
Danny was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife Ruth Ann; brother, Randy Wright; and sister Ann Brazelton. Online tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
