JOHNSON, Katherine Joanne (Pawloski) – of Davison, MI, age 71, passed away Friday, September 1, 2023 at Ascension Genesys Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 PM Monday, September 11, 2023 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 6340 Roberta Street, Burton, MI 48509; Rev. Fr. Carl Simon celebrant. Private interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, MI 48442. The family will receive visitors 2-7 PM Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home and 11 AM-12 PM Monday, September 11, 2023 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 6:30 PM Sunday, September 10, 2023 followed by the Nightingale Tribute conducted under the auspices of the Nurses Honor Guard of Genesee County Michigan, honoring Katherine’s dedicated nursing service, at Allen Funeral Home.
Katherine was born in Flint, MI on February 24, 1952, daughter of the late Donald and Joanne (Graham) Pawloski. She was a graduate of Saint Matthew’s Catholic High School Class of 1970. Katherine furthered her education, earning a nursing degree from Mott Community College. She married Gerald (Jerry) Johnson on May 26th, 1972. Katherine was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She enjoyed camping, playing card games, watching football, and spending time with her family.
Katherine is survived by her loving husband, Gerald (Jerry) Johnson; children, Jennifer Williams (Richard), Jesseca Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Jamee Gatica; bonus daughter Camelle LiQuia; grandchildren Chauncey, Matthew, Chelsea, Corran, Marcus, Cassiana, Malaki, Kalib, Macaden, and Asher; bonus granddaughter Faith; great-grandson Vinnie; several brothers and sisters; special friends Roxanne Bruckler and Lynn Moore and many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Joanne Pawloski, her stepfather Alvin Phipps, and her sisters, Lyn Warren and Sandra Ketelhut.
