RICHARDSON, Carol Sue (Spencer) – of Davison, MI, age 56, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Friday, February 17, 2023 after battling cancer for the last 4 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12 PM Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Flint First Wesleyan Church, 3825 Davison Road, Flint, MI 48506; Pastor Chad Amoss officiating. Interment immediately following in Davison Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 1-8 PM Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 10 AM-12 PM Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Flint First Wesleyan Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Flint First Wesleyan Church, in Carol’s memory.
Carol was born in Owosso, MI on September 29, 1966, daughter of the late John G. and Phyllis J. (Kitchin) Spencer. She married the love of her life, David H. Richardson, on May 27, 1989. Carol has resided in Davison, MI for the last 22 years. She was a graduate of Hill-McCloy High School in Montrose, MI Class of 1984. Carol was employed at Buick-Oldsmobile-Cadillac Engineering in the 1980’s and 1990’s, the East Michigan District of The Wesleyan Church in the early 2000’s and for the last 10 years has been the Administrative Assistant at Flint First Wesleyan Church where she has been a member and attended since 1982. She served on the Board of Administration, was the Director of Congregational Care and worked in the children’s department for many years. Carol also was a board member of the Wesleyan Woods Campground in Vassar, MI. She regularly attended Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) at Central Nazarene and volunteered with their children’s pre-prayer ministry for 15 years, through this Carol gained many friends and prayer warriors. Carol was devoted to her Lord, family, and friends. She enjoyed working in her gardens, camping, antiquing, and scrapbooking.
Carol leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, David H. Richardson; 3 children, Brooke (Joe) Schiavone of Peoria, AZ, Matthew (Adriane Miller) Richardson of Saginaw, MI and Hannah (Jason) Krupp of Swartz Creek, MI; 3 grandchildren, Leena Schiavone, Stella Schiavone and Jeremiah Krupp; 3 siblings, David (Gail) Spencer, Joyce (Robert) Stratton and Daniel (Marilyn) Spencer; sister-in-law, Gail Perry; many nieces, nephews and other loving friends. A garden of girlfriends, Diane, Jamie, Chris, Marilyn, Niki, Theresa and Yvonne. Welcoming her to Heaven are her parents, John and Phyllis Spencer; in-laws, Herbert and Rubina Richardson; brother-in-law, Tim Perry; nephew, Russell Spencer; beloved grandparents, aunts and uncles.
