Cathleen Powell, 86, passed away on December 19, 2010. She was born in Carpenter, Mississippi, the daughter of Abe and Ophelia Davis. She was married to the late Amos Powell. In 1946 she moved to Toledo. For many years, she was employed at Cortland Produce and later Libby Glass. She was a member of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church over fifty years, serving on the Senior Usher Board for most of those years. Surviving is her son, Amos; daughter, Ophelia Powell-White of Southfield, MI, granddaughter, Rosalind; grandson, Delano; grandchildren and host of family and friends. Visitation on Monday, 5 to 7 p.m., House of Day. Services 12:00 noon Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, preceded by a wake service at 11:00 a.m. |
