Of Burton, age 79, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Visitation 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday and 12 p.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Amelia was born in Port Lavaca, Texas on May 29, 1944, the daughter of the late Trinidad Raigosa and Benita Nunez raised by the late Guillermo “Willie” Nunez.
She loved sewing, reading her Bible, praise music, needle point and enjoyed making clothes for everybody.
Above all else she loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children, Alfonso Trevino Jr., Kathleen Trevino, Christopher Trevino, Carlos Trevino and Alicia (Jeremy) Ackels;
grandchildren, Tiffany (Anthony) McConnell, Isla Ackels, Michelle and Christofer Hernandez;
great-granddaughter, Elena Barker;
brother, Johnny (Betty) Nunez;
sister, Mary (Danny) Galvan;
many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfonso; brothers, Mario Nunez, Chavelo Lopez and Abel Lopez.
