WAGER, Wilton W. – of Clio, age 80, died on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Hurley Medical Center in Flint. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Rev. Richard George officiating. Cremation will follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10AM until the time of service at 1PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hills Camp & Retreat in Otisville.
Wilton was born July 23, 1942, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Rev. Warren and Nellie (Sproul) Wager. He married Diane Appleton on April 6, 1963, at First Pilgrim Holiness Church in Flint. Wilton was a faithful member of New Covenant Church in Clio. He was a talented leather crafter, and a Detroit Tigers fan. Wilton enjoyed camping and listening to gospel music.
Surviving are: Wife, Diane Wager; Daughters: Pamela (Richard) George, Paula (Mick) Fawcett, Patricia Wager, and Penny (Brian) Jones; Grandchildren: Ricky (Andrea) George, Dan (Jordan) George, Andrew (Katelyn) George, Michael (Bailey) George, Josh (Heather) George, Kayricia (Trevor) Wager, Lucas Jones, and Ethan Jones; 7 great grandchildren; Sisters: Belva Smith, and Betty (Roy) Guthrie.
