Sitko, Kathryn - Of Flint, age 100, died Sunday, March 20, 2022.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12Noon, Friday, March 25, 2022 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton, Michigan with Father Steve Anderson officiating.
Visitation 10am Friday at the church from until the time of Mass.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice Flint Office.
Kathryn was born in Flint, Michigan on January 22, 1922 the daughter of the late Andrew and Susan (Kachmer) Chema and was a graduate of Flint Northern High School.
Kathryn married the love of her life, Chester Sitko on September 20, 1947 at All Saints Catholic Church. Kathryn was a loving, caring and very devoted wife and was blessed to share 32 wonderful years together. He preceded her in death on November 5, 1979.
Kathryn lived and loved her faith and was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She enjoyed hosting holiday gatherings and family celebrations. She was known for preparing everyone's favorite dish and her special baked goods. Kathryn had a passion for traveling, while also enjoying her daily word searches and spending Saturday nights watching Lawrence Welk.
Kathryn will be remembered as being a nurturing and loving mother. She adored her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as a grandmother and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren, developing a very special bond with each of them. Kathryn was an amazing mother-in-law, welcoming her daughters-in-law into the family with open arms and a loving heart.
Family was the most important part of Kathryn's life and she leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. Kathryn will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her and will be forever in our hearts.
Left to cherish her memory are: sons, Donald and Kristy Sitko, Jim and Tammy Sitko, daughter, Diana Sitko, granddaughters, Chelsie and Matt Dokman, Callie and Mike Rutherford, grandsons, Ryan and Britney Sitko, Aaron and Kelly Sitko, great grandchildren, Edward, Emerson and Ellis.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Care Friends and staff at the Lodges of Durand and Alisha from Heart to Heart Hospice for their sincere kindness, dedicated care and compassion.
