RAY, Jimmie Dale - Age 73, of Cheboygan, passed away June 2, 2023. Services will be held 10 AM Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly. All attending are welcome to join the family following the service for a luncheon to share stories and pay tribute to Jimmie. Those desiring may make contributions to Wounded Warrior Project. Jimmie was born June 7, 1949 in Memphis, TN, the son of Junior and Dorothy Louise Ray. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in the Vietnam War. Jimmie retired from General Motors in 2000. Following retirement, he enjoyed working as a Porter for car dealerships. He loved fishing, enjoyed tinkering in the yard and flipping houses. He is survived by his wife, Joanne; daughter, Rebecca (Richard) Pratt; son, Brian (Michele) Ray; special niece, Teresa Chandler; grandchildren, Skylar Pratt, Jade Pratt; Breanne, Hannah, Brendan, Tyler and Peyton Ray; sisters, Deborah and Sharon; cousin, who was like a brother, Doug Ray; many nieces and nephews.
