Wilma Jean (Prince) Taylor, age 84, of Gaines, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Ascension Genesys, Grand Blanc. A funeral service will take place at 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Prior to the service, visitation will be available from 4:00 PM until the time of service on Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society.
Wilma was born on May 28, 1939 in Clarkton, Missouri the daughter of the late Marshall and Stella (Shelton) Prince. She graduated in 1957 from Flint Central High School. Wilma and Curtis Taylor were united in marriage on September 28, 1957 in Flint. She cherished her family greatly and always looked forward to spending time with them. In her early days, Wilma was very athletic, participating in numerous sports. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling and making floral arrangements.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Curtis Taylor; daughter, Traci (Ray) Sampson; granddaughters, Taylor (Richie Anthony) Sampson and Bayley Sampson; sisters, Shirley (Dan) Larkin, Bev (Bill) Minzey and Debi (Larry) Goff; and several nieces and nephews.
