Bennett, Clyde Elmer - Age 83, of Grand Blanc, died May 3, 2021. Funeral services will be held 12PM Thursday, May 6 at Sharp Funeral Home, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial following at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 N. Belford Rd.. Holly. Visitation will be held 10AM Thursday until the time of service. Clyde was born September 8, 1937 in Flint, the son of William Mose and Ethel Louise (Hubbs) Bennett. He married Patsy S. Arnold January 19, 1957 in Flint. She preceded him in death January 14, 2018. Clyde proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a carpenter for 35 years before retiring in 2005. Clyde belonged to the IOF (Independent Order of Foresters). He enjoyed woodworking and camping. Clyde especially loved being with his grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Jeffrey C. (Karen) Bennett of Lafollette, TN., Sherry Bennett ( Jeremy Haubenstricker); grandchildren, Crystal (Kirk) Glaza, Nicole Mills, Danny Church and Jersey Haubenstricker; great-grandchildren, Kenzie Maust and Adalynn Glaza; step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; very special niece, Sheila Bennett and her children; several nieces and nephews. Clyde is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patsy Sue Bennett; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
