Bradley Clinton Austin, a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025, at the age of 66 in Lapeer, Michigan. Born on November 1, 1958, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Clinton and Betty Austin, Bradley grew up with a passion for life that was contagious to everyone around him.
Bradley's legacy is carried on through his loving children, Sabrina Sontag, Marcus (Kelly) Austin, and Shanna Decker; his dear siblings, Scott Austin, Bonnie Cuttitta, Randy Woodruff, and Rick Woodruff; his adored 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; and his devoted friends, Mark Edwards, Tom Clancy, and Dan Mosey. His life was enriched by the joy and laughter they all brought into his world. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother-in-law Richard Cuttitta, his son-in-law Alan Decker, and his great-nephew Gabriel Wilson, who all held special places in his heart.
Bradley's work as a master pipe fitter at Premier Automation spanned several decades, where his skill and dedication were unmatched. His colleagues respected him for his expertise and his commitment to excellence. His involvement in various associations within his trade demonstrated his passion for his work and his desire to contribute to the advancement of his profession.
An avid outdoorsman, Bradley found solace and joy in the great outdoors. Whether he was hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying nature, he was in his element. His skills as a pit master of the BBQ were legendary among family and friends. Bradley was also known as a jack of all trades, a 'superman' to his kids, always ready to lend a hand or fix anything that needed repair.
Described by those who loved him as loving, handy, and courageous, Bradley's presence was a source of strength and comfort. His ability to face challenges head-on, while maintaining a heart full of love and hands ready to help, defined his character. He was a man who built his life on the foundation of family, friendship, and hard work.
Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Bradley’s Life will be held from 12:00 to 4:00 PM on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at the Columbiaville Community Center, with lunch being served at 1:00 PM. Memorial contributions in memory of Bradley may be made to the family. Arrangements entrusted to Jansen Family Funeral Home – Columbiaville.
