Our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend passed away at her home Thursday, December 10, 2020 with her family by her side, age 47. The daughter of Gordon and Joan (Lybrink) Sherman, she was born April 19, 1973 in Bay City, Michigan. Meredith graduated from Bay City Western High School in 1990 and later married Mark A. Duval in 1999. She loved the outdoors, camping, kayaking and scrap booking. She also loved spending time with her family and three dogs: Anna, Boston and Maddie. Meredith was a member of the VFW Post #6950 Auxiliary in Kawkawlin, Michigan.
Surviving besides her husband Mark are two sons, Joseph and Mark II, her mother Joan Sherman, one sister Jennifer (Rock) Wisniewski, father and mother-in-law, Charles (Loretta) Duval, sister-in-law Sandra (John) Gillise, three brothers-in-law: Chuck (Cheri) Duval, Dan Duval and Pat (Rebecca) and many nieces and nephews Meredith loved very much. Meredith was predeceased by her father Gordon Sherman on Friday, December 11, 2020.
Friends and family will gather at Squires Funeral Home, 211 N. Henry Street, Bay City, MI 48706 on Monday, December 14, 2020 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. Cremation will take place after the gathering. Those who plan to attend the gathering must wear a face covering at all times in the funeral home and observe social distancing as well. You may be asked to wait outside until there is adequate space for you to enter. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society or Ascension Genisys Hospice. www.squiresfuneralhome.com
