GRUBB, Dale – Of Sears, age 85, died Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at MediLodge of Tawas.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2024.
Visitation 11 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Dale was born in Flint, Michigan on July 5, 1938, the son of Ralph and Ellen Grubb.
He married Joyce on July 27, 1957 in Flint and she preceded him in death on August 18, 1997.
He was a member of VFW, VVA, DAV, Air Force Sergeant Association and the Evart Moose Lodge.
Mr. Grubb was in the U.S. Air Force 24 years, was employed by Flint Schools and the US Post Office.
Surviving are 2 sons and 2 daughters, Dale and wife Barb,
Dora Sturk,
Debra and husband John Wickham and
Denis Grubb;
daughter-in-law, Tina Grubb;
8 grandchildren;
19 great-grandchildren;
3 great-great-grandchildren;
several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his son, David; son-in-law, Dennis Sturk; 3 brothers; 1 sister and daughter-in-law, Kathy Grubb.
