RIFE, Henry - Of Flint, age 88, died Thursday, September 25, 2025
at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Willis C. Hurley officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Kidney Foundation of Michigan.
Visitation 5-8pm Monday and 1-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
Henry was born in Dwight, Virgina on July 22, 1937 the son of the late Sylvester and Martha Rife. On October 20, 1962, he married Peggy Shropshire. He was a member and Deacon of the Unity General Baptist Church, in Fenton. Mr. Rife retired from General Motors Metal Fab in 1993 and was a member of UAW Local #659. Henry was the best husband and father.
Surviving are wife, Peggy;
daughter, Parri and husband Kevin Pieniozek;
granddaughter, Jessica (Rick) Parks;
great-grandchildren, Gavin and Zoie;
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Michele and 11 brothers and sisters.
