PETRICK, Eleanor - Of Grand Blanc, age 88, died Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton,
Father Steve Anderson officiating.
Entombment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Contributions may be directed to the American Kidney Foundation.
Visitation 6-8pm Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 9:30am Saturday at church until the time of the Mass.
Eleanor was born in Granite City, Illinois on March 25, 1933, the daughter of the late Michael and Julia Papp. On October 15, 1957, she married John Petrick and he preceded her in death on January 1, 2003. Eleanor was a member of the Council of Catholic Women at Holy Redeemer. She enjoyed playing cards, knitting, sewing and crocheting.
Surviving are children, David Petrick, Terri (Bob) Nichols, Michael Petrick and Rob (Diana) Petrick;
Son-in-law, James Gurney;
Grandchildren, Joseph Nichols, Evan Gurney, Julie Nichols, Gio Petrick and Kim Smith;
Great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Smith and Steve Smith;
Sisters, Mildred Noeth and Carolyn Sanders;
Brothers, Michael Papp and Bob Papp;
And many nieces and nephews.El
She was also preceded in death by daughter, Joann Gurney and sisters, Rose Tax, Kathy Dehn and Barbara Kramer.
