NAST, Charles – of Flint, age 72, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Ascension Genesys Hospital. A Funeral Service with Military Honors will be held 1 PM, Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. Pastor Jan Duce will officiate with cremation to follow. Family will receive visitors 2-7 PM on Monday, November 15, 2021 as well as Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 11 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be considered to the American Diabetes Association.
Chuck was born in Flint, MI on June 25, 1949, son of the late Frank and Lavina “Lyn” Nast. He married Pamela Marlet on August 16, 1969. Chuck enlisted in the U.S. Air Force right out of high school. He retired from GM in 2009 after 41 years of service. Chuck was an avid golfer. When he wasn’t on the course playing, he could be found at Brookwood working as a ranger. In his spare time, he and Pam loved to travel. They wintered in Foley, AL for many years. Chuck’s greatest love was for his family.
Chuck will be deeply missed by his wife of 52 years, Pamela Nast; his three children, Kristine Zajdlik, Mike (Jennifer) Nast and Mark Nast; four grandchildren, Tara (Anthony) Toubassi, Steven Zajdlik, Kaygan Nast and Kyle Nast; one great-grandson, AJ Toubassi; Sister, Jane (Richard) McKee and many cousins, nieces nephews and countless other loving family and friends.
