Passed away peacefully Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Vassar Comfort Care; age 100 years. Wanda Bysko was born on August 15, 1923 in Flint, MI to the late Michael and Mary Bysko. She graduated from Flint Central High School. Wanda was married to Frank Piesko on June 20, 1942; he predeceased her on January 9, 2015.
Wanda was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, line dancing, and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and family.
Surviving are: four sons, Frank (Sandra) Piesko, Robert (Susan) Piesko, Michael (Diane) Piesko, and Gary (Cyndi) Piesko; grandchildren: Frank (Tammy) Piesko, Ryan (Kelly) Piesko, Carolyn (Mark) Petzing, Jim (Bobbie) Piesko, Steve (Melissa) Piesko, Amber (Patrick) Stack, Adam (Karla) Piesko, Brandon (Tracy) Worley, and Chantel (Brian) Williams; and many great-grandchildren.
Wanda was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Lyndsey Piesko, and nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 958 E. Tuscola Rd., Frankenmuth, Michigan. Fr. Patrick Jankowiak will officiate with burial in Blessed Trinity Cemetery. Wanda’s family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. There will be a prayer service on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Lyndsey Piesko Memorial Scholarship C/O Frankenmuth Community Foundation, or Blessed Trinity Catholic Church.
