James Lee Scott of Otisville, age 79, died Tuesday January 17, 2023 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 3:30 pm Saturday January 21, 2023 at Hansen Funeral Home groves Chapel, Downtown Davison: Rev. Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Family will receive visitor from 1:30 pm Saturday until time of services at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in James’s memory to the charity of your choice.

James was born in Goodrich Michigan on November 30, 1943 the son of the late: Clifford and Charlotte (Hull) Scott and has resided in Otisville and Davison most of his life. He was a graduate of Lakeville High School Class of 1962. "Jim" served in the Army Reserves and had a passion for horses, owning many over the years. He was longtime member of Davison Eagles Arie #3589 where he was well known for running Karaoke and the pool tables. He had been employed by General Motors Buick Division for over thirty years retiring in 1991 where he was known as "Cowboy".

Surviving is son James (Deborah) Scott II, and daughter Dawn Marie (Bernard Stewart) Scott. He also leaves his loving grandchildren; Kassie, Nicole, Adam, Christopher, Bryana, and great grandchildren; Jamari, Kaylee, and Kaila. He also leaves his sisters, Ruth Randall, Carol (Richard) Haughey, sister-in-law Lenore Scott, and a host of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by brother David Scott in 2021.
