WYRWICKI, Joseph William - Age 93, of Grand Blanc, died Friday, August 18, 2017. Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 25, 2017 at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 7234 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. Pastor Nathan Allen officiating. Visitation will be held at the church Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to Holy Spirit Lutheran Church.
Joseph was born April 21, 1924 in Little Falls, MN, the son of Aloysus and Orpha (Klienert) Wyrwitzki. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy. He married Barbara J. Peterson September 25, 1947 in Flint. He had resided in Grand Blanc since 1969 coming from Flint. Joseph retired from Michigan Bell (AT&T) after 38 years. He was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church. He also was a member of American Legion Grand Blanc Post 413 and the National Rifle Association.
Surviving are: his wife of 69 years, Barbara; son, Douglas (Dawn) Wyrwicki of Fenton; daughter, Tracy Wyrwicki of Grand Blanc; 5 grandchildren, Neely (Ryan) Thompson of Grand Blanc, Michael (Lisa) Kamischke of Brighton, Natalie (Josh) Sharp of Washougal, WA, Melissa (Harry) Eiferle of Grand Blanc, and Haley (Gabriel) Heath of Grand Rapids; 6 great grandchildren, Rowan, Benjamin, Grady, Peter, Elloise, and Primrose.
