SELVIA (MITCHELL), NANCY C. Age 75, of Flint passed away peacefully on October 23, 2022.
Visitation 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Nancy was born in Flint, Michigan on November 6, 1946, the daughter of William and Mildred Mitchell. She graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1964, and then married her husband, Billy Franklin Selvia Sr., that same year.
Nancy’s greatest joys were playing cards with her family, watching the Detroit Tigers and General Hospital in her flannel pajamas, and sharing old stories and memories. Nancy was known for her lack of patience and telling it like it is. She always told you the truth, even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear. She loved her four letter words as much as she loved her vast collection of knick-knacks. Nancy will be missed by all who were blessed by her spitfire personality.
Surviving are her husband, Billy Franklin Selvia Sr.; children, Terri (Michael) Babb, Billy (Sheryl) Selvia Jr., and Shannon (George) Kheno; grandchildren, Courtney (Jon Strom) Selvia, Nicholas (Jaclyn) Reid, Kerri (Tyler) Mattingly, Whitney Reid, Alissa (Joshua) Hect, and Garrett (Alexis Wells-Henry) Kheno; great-grandchild, Aidan Reid; siblings, Richard Mitchell and Irene Willingham; and special friends, John and Mary Sands, and Carleen Cupit.
She was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, William and Mildred Mitchell; and grandson, Grant Kheno.
A private memorial service will take place at a later date following cremation.
