STEFANIC, Arnold John, 81, passed away at home in Davison MI on January 3, 2023.
Born in Flint, MI April 29th, 1941 to Frank and Mary Ann (Slagor) Stefanic, Arnold graduated from St. Philip Neri High School in Detroit MI, Class of 1960. Arnie attended Michigan State University, becoming a lifelong MSU sports fan. He had a deep love for boating and competitive sailing. Arnold was a manager with Butterfield Theaters for 25 years. He was a serial entrepreneur also, once owning the NorthLand Drive-In in Mt. Morris, Pisces Point in Grosse Pointe and Arnie's American Party Store in Lennon. Arnold was well connected in the city of Flushing MI and had great times with many friends. As a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge, he held the positions of governor and treasurer. Following his retirement, Arnold became a Florida snowbird for 9 years, then made the permanent move back to Michigan.
Arnie is survived by children, Robert Stefanic, Marc (Anne) Stefanic, step children, Jennifer (James) Idalski and Jessica (Michael) Malli, sister Constance Hendrick and brother Jeffrey Stefanic. He was the proud Papa of 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild plus many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Steven Stefanic and Michael Petrove, and beloved mother MaryAnn Petrove.
With a twinkle in his eye, Arnie lived a full interesting life and will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, January 11th, 1pm at the Flushing Moose Lodge.
