FERRIS, Ronald Sr. – Of Clio, age 83, died Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 12pm Monday, September 11, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Steve Babcock, Ron’s nephew, officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Visitation 4-8pm Sunday and 10am Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Ronald was born in Flint, Michigan on December 19, 1939, the son of the late Edwin and Thelma (Stafford) Ferris. On September 23, 1961 he married Wanda Cavness in Flint. Ronald was the owner of Rupp’s Service in Flint from 1967 to 1998. He was a gun collector and enjoyed antique cars. Above all else, Ronald loved spending time with his family.
Surviving are children, Ron Jr., Vicki and husband Doug Stone, Keith and wife Nicci Ferris;
grandchildren, Ronald III and wife Ashley Ferris, Jason and wife Caroline Ferris, Justin Williams, James and wife Jessica Reda, Douglas Stone Jr., Alicia Ferris, Kirsten Ferris and Tyler Ferris;
great-grandchildren, Dakota, Abby, Zachary, Zoey, Haven, Cooper Donna and Eli;
brothers, James and wife Sharon Ferris, Paul and wife Erma Ferris
many special nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his wife Wanda, sisters, Barbara Osmun and Jean Cope and brother, Phil Ferris.
