McARTHUR, Robert “Bob” Herman – of Davison, MI, age 84, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Ascension Genesys Hospital. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Friday, April 23, 2021 at Davison Missionary Church, 1481 North Gale Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Jason Crum officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, in Dawn Memorial Cemetery, Lapeer, MI. The family will receive visitors 12-5 PM Thursday, April 22, 2021 and 12-1 PM Friday, April 23, 2021 at Davison Missionary Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Davison Missionary Church, in Bob’s memory. In an effort to protect our friends, family and community, the family requests all visitors to properly wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines.
Bob was born in Holly, MI on November 3, 1936, son of the late Earl and Mae (Collins) McArthur. He married Janet Turnbull on June 22, 1962 and she preceded him in death on January 23, 2010. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1958-1961 as a Field Radio Repairman in Germany. He retired from Chevrolet Metal Fab in 1993 after 33 ½ years of service. Bob maintained several treasured friendships from those experiences to this day! He and his family attended Davison Missionary Church for 52 years. Family was at the heart of everything he did! If he could lend you a hand, sit down to talk to you over coffee, join you in a hunt, work on a project, join you for a meal, or have a treat in his pocket for a child… he loved to give and help! His kids, grandkids and great-grandkids put a twinkle in his eye!
Bob is survived by his 3 children, Annette McArthur, Steve (Debbie) McArthur and Rhonda (Corey) Seidell; 5 grandchildren, Jacob (Alyssa) Seidell, Joel Seidell, Christian Seidell, Anna McArthur and Olivia McArthur; 2 great-grandsons, James and John Seidell; brother, Earl (Barbara) McArthur; other loving family members and friends who were dear to him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Mae McArthur; 3 brothers, Ernie McArthur, Harry McArthur and Russ McArthur; 3 sisters, Edna Burton, Helen Burton and Carrie Sutherland.
