Brown, Ritchie D. – age 46, passed away Monday March 3, 2014. Family hour 11:00 Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Vernon A.M.E. Church, 5802 Dupont Street., with funeral service commencing 11:30 a.m. Rev Roosevelt Brown Eulogist, Rev. Dr. Mickarl Thomas, Host Pastor. Friends and family will assemble at the church at 10:30.
Mr. Ritchie Brown was born August 19, 1967 in Flint, Michigan. Mr. Brown was a former member of Gospel Temple Missionary Baptist Church. Ritchie was employed at Burlington Coat Factory. Ritchie had a heart for helping people; he loved his family and enjoyed being with family and friends, entertaining and having fun. Ritchie enjoyed gospel music; he was a member of the Flint City Wide Choir and loved it! Ritchie’s favorite song was “O Happy Day”. Ritchie leaves to cherish his memory two children: Daughter: Tanisha (Johnte) Anthony; Son: Deonte Bolds, both of Nashville, Tennessee; three sisters: Patricia Snell-Waller of Grand Blanc, Laurie Brown of West Palm Beach, Florida and Chamiere Brown of Atlanta, Georgia; two brothers: Kirby Snell and Sammie Brown, both of Flint; two grandsons: Jonta, and Joel; three granddaughters: Shimeir, Amyrie, and Janelle; five nephews: Donte Brown, Kenneth Snell, Steven Waller, Jonathan Waller and Carmello Brown; three nieces: Simone Snell, Arriona, and Audrella Brown; two great-nieces: Faith Brown and Jaylinn Waller and one great-nephew Demarsha Williams; six Aunts: Birdie (Hurley) Trouser of Flint, Susie Lee Brown of Mt. Morris, Marshall Brown of Otisville, MI, Helen Brown of Detroit, MI, Jean Blair Brown and Susie B. Brown of Flint; one Uncle: Rev. Roosevelt (Birdie) Brown of Flint; best friend Kenneth Butler; special cousins: Randy Beard, William Waters, Albert Smith and Fred Brown a host of cousins and friends. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Georgia Brown; brother, Lebriant Brown, nephew Quangrell Brown and great-nephew Quangrell Brown, Jr. The family would like to express special thanks to the Martin J. Banks Funeral Home, Rev. Dr. Mickarl Thomas and the Vernon Chapel AME Church Family.
