James Moore of Oxford, Michigan and formerly Palmetto, Florida and Davison, Michigan passed away peacefully on November 2, 2022 at his home to be with his sweetheart, Margaret (Honey) Moore. James was a World War II army veteran, the founder of General Optical in Flint, Michigan and a former choir member of St. John Catholic church, Holy Cross Catholic church in Florida and The Piney Point choirs.
James is survived by his children, Colleen Newfield (Steve Elliot), Frederic Moore (Jeannine), James Moore (Catherine), David Moore (Mary Ann), Theresa Fras (Wilfred), Daniel Moore (Elizabeth) and Susan Brown (James Bowers), 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to McLaren Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association would be greatly appreciated.
Funeral Service will take place at St. John Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423 on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 12PM with visitation beginning at 11AM. Interment immediately following at St. John Catholic Cemetery, Corner of Richfield and Oak Road, Davison, MI 48423.
