MCCOLMAN, Rory V. - Of Flint, age 69, died Friday, August 4, 2023 at Divine Needs Assisted Living.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Divine Needs Assisted Living.
Visitation 11 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Rory was born in Flint, Michigan on October 5, 1953, the son of the late Duncan Jr. and Mary (Johnson) McColman.
Rory was an excellent carpenter. He was always smiling, always happy to see you and loved his beer.
Most of all he loved his son and his family.
He perfected the art of talking like a duck to the kids. He loved to play cards, especially Cribbage. He cursed like a sailor (which he was, a boiler technician in the Navy.
He was a great son, brother, father, uncle and comedian.
Surviving are son, Bud T. (Missy);
grandsons, Tucker and Lane;
sisters, Phyllis A. Curry, Sally Morse and Mary K. Glenn;
several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Duncan R. McColman; mother, Mary B. McColman; brother, Duncan R. McColman III; sister, Laura Lea Hermstein and brother, Patrick Lee McColman
