PERRY, Euwilda "Sandy" Susan (Coggins) – of Davison, MI, age 77, passed away Friday, February 9, 2024. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 2 PM Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 5176 West Court Street, Flint, MI 48532; Pastor T.J. Blankinship officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County, in Euwilda’s memory.
Euwilda was born in Palmer, Massachusetts on March 3, 1946, daughter of the late Ellis and Mildred (Putnam) Coggins. On November 20, 1987, Euwilda joined her life with Bryon Perry in a beautiful union in Davison, MI. Together, they created a tapestry of love and shared countless memories over the years. She retired from General Motors in 2000 after 30 years of service. Euwilda found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her love for fishing, a passion for the great outdoors, and a deep connection with animals, especially her cherished dogs, illuminated her days. Whether casting a line into the serene waters, exploring the beauty of nature through camping and hunting, or simply basking in the warmth of family gatherings, Euwilda embraced life with a spirit that radiated happiness. One of her favorite sanctuaries was Sunset Bay Marina in Unionville, MI, where she spent countless hours surrounded by the tranquility of the water and the camaraderie of her extended family. The memories created at Sunset Bay Marina became a cherished part of Euwilda's legacy, symbolizing the beauty she found in life's simple moments. Euwilda will be fondly remembered as a devoted wife, a doting mother, a loving family member, and a dear friend to many. Her kind heart, infectious laughter, and the warmth of her presence will be greatly missed. As we say our goodbyes, let us celebrate the remarkable life of Euwilda Perry and carry forward the love and joy she shared with us.
Euwilda is survived by her husband, Bryon Perry; canine companion, Libbie; 6 children, Matt (Kathy) Stimson, Mark (Kim) Smith, Kittie (Mark) Free, Brad (Tracy) Smith, Bryon (Lori) Perry and Dawn (Pat Collison) Brandon; 19 grandchildren, Alicia (Bill) Rosebush, Zech (Hillary) Stimson, Michaiah Stimson, Eleanor Green, Ellis (Madison) Smith, Evan Smith, Gabe Smith, Stella Smith, Stephanie (Zac) Sorsen, Jon (Sheryl) Free, Nathan (Kasey) Free, Alec Smith, Mason Smith, Maggie Smith, Austin Smith, Carsen (Adrian Fernandez) Perry, Sloan Perry, Garrett Brandon and Paige Brandon; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 siblings, Charlotte (Doug) Horton and Wayne (Debie) Coggins; special friends, Rich and Linda Androsuk and Jerry and Linda Leap; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Mildred Coggins; parents-in-law, Elwyn and Bernice Perry; 2 canine companions, Abbie and Mollie and her infant sister, Baby Girl Coggins.
