WASS, RUTH DIANE - Age 64, died Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 2051 West Maple Avenue, Flint, Reverend Mark Pretznow officiating.
Burial in Allendale Township Cemetery, 12644 60th Avenue, Allendale, MI 49501.
Visitation 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Mrs. Wass will be at the church from 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service.
Ruth was born November 2nd 1958 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Charles Ernest and Florence Genese (Reister) Snyder.
She grew up in Allendale. Ruth was a cheerleader in high school, and graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in early childhood education. She taught for several years at FAPCN Flint Area Parent Child Nurseries; taught preschool for several years at St. John Catholic Church in Davison and taught kindergarten at Faith Lutheran in Grand Blanc.
She was a member and was active in her church, Lamb of God Lutheran as Choir Director and LWML the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.
Surviving are husband, Fred;
son, Andrew (Emily) Wass;
daughter, Kailey (Brian) Marcinkowski;
grandchildren, Gemma and Sylvie;
siblings, David, Teresa and Paul;
many nephews and niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
