Shirley Mae Leach, age 76, of Mayville, MI passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.
Shirley was born on January 7, 1949 in Columbiaville, MI to the late Harold and Margaret (Wells) Leach. She graduated from Lakeville High School with the Class of 1968. Shirley worked for 10 years at Modern Manufacturing in Columbiaville, MI before moving to General Motors. She would work for them for 30 plus years before retiring in 2008. She was also a member of the Union 599 Production. Shirley enjoyed attending church, camping in the summer, dancing at the Lapeer Eagles and spending time at Davison Senior Center. She loved to be motherly towards her family and friends, cooking and crocheting.
Shirley is survived by her son, Garen Leach; her sisters, Betty (Mike) Martindale, Diana Alongi, Robin Leach and Kimberly (Donald) Ross; her brothers, Randall (Vickie) Leach and Terry (Cindy) Leach; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; and her brother-in-law, Jerry Martindale.
There are no services planned at this time.
